FAQ

How do I apply for a mindfulness course?

Please read the information about the mindfulness course.  If you are ready to proceed, you can apply online, or email us to find out about courses.  If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch.

I cannot attend all the course dates. Can I still join the course?

It is a structured course designed as a whole programme, and not as drop in sessions. It is therefore recommended to do the course at a time when you are able to attend all the dates.

However, if you are away due to illness, etc then we can catch up before the next session.

How many people are in the group?

The maximum number in the group is capped around 15 people.

Will I have to speak in the group?

You are welcome to share as little or as much as is helpful to you.  There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get feedback on your practice.

At the beginning of the course we all sign up to ground rules of confidentiality and mutual respect, to create a safe space.

Do I need any special clothing or equipment for the course?

We recommended you wear comfortable clothing. In some sessions we will be doing some gentle movement practices, so it will be good to have clothes where you can move freely. In the winter months you may wish to bring warm clothing, a shawl or blanket, and some thick socks as you may feel a little cold when sitting still for long periods.

You are welcome to bring a meditation cushion or stool if you prefer.

What happens at the end of the course?

As we come to the end of the course we will discuss resources that will support your continued practice, including details of drop-in sessions and further options.
